Our aim is to offer a wide array of quality products without any of the junk (harmful artificial preservatives and additives). Most products in conventional grocery stores contain ingredients that can be toxic, especially as we are ingesting them constantly over time. Our water, food, the land, and even the air we breathe contain many toxins that are detrimental to overall health and wellbeing. Eliminating these toxins wherever possible is vital for the human body and brain to function optimally. Eating food and using products with “clean ingredients” is a vital step toward improved health and vitality, better immune function and facilitates the body’s ability to cleanse, restore and heal itself. We are, indeed, what we eat.

Grocery

Mustard Seed market strives to be the go-to destination for fresh, simple, preservative-free, whole ingredient food. Just REAL food!!  You'll find aisles filled with healthy and delicious choices, including an extensive offering of local, organic, non-gmo, gluten-free, keto, raw, and vegan options. And yes, we have snacks, desserts, and treats, too… just all made with the best, REAL ingredients! Because we get it, sometimes we just all have that hankerin’.

We also know and completely understand that life can be really busy sometimes, and yet it's still so important to try to eat well.  We aim to continue to add to our ready made food options in order to offer choices as close to homemade as possible without all the prep time. We have a great selection of delicious frozen meals, plus more!

Produce

Apples and carrots and kale... YUM! Yum!  We are committed to bringing you the highest quality organic and/or locally grown produce that we can find. As always, no pesticides allowed! We source seasonally from local farmers and aim to provide the best Virginia has to offer. Our produce from local growers is often freshly picked directly from the field and delivered to the store the same day. Come check out our great selection of local and/or organic items from certified growers. Farm fresh to you without all the farm work! 

Meat/Poultry/Dairy

We understand meat, poultry and dairy aren't for everyone. That's fine.  We offer an array of vegan selections, too.  But if you happen to love great quality meats, like we do, you've come to the right place! We love knowing where our meat comes from and that it’s been ethically raised without unnecessary pesticides, artificial hormones, or antibiotics.  Whether you're looking for grass-fed, local, and/or organic, we have delicious options.   

We strive to offer the same choices and standards with our poultry products.  We work with local farmers to provide quality eggs (YES, we have eggs!) from free range, pesticide-free, and antibiotic-free flocks that use only non-GMO, all-natural feeds. As always, we are committed to bringing you farm-to-table freshness.

Come check out our great selection of milks, cheeses, and yogurts from small, family farms, too.  These products are produced in small batches the old fashioned way.  You really can taste the difference!

Bulk

Currently our bulk spice wall is up and running. Be sure to check it out at the back of the store! 50 lb. bags of bulk oats are in and a large selection of bulk items can be special ordered, as well.

Mustard Seed plans on increasing its bulk selection as we continue to grow. We hope to be known far and wide for our large selection of bulk products at fantastic prices!  From fifty pound bags of flour, oats, and sugar to dried and frozen fruits to specialty spices and herbs, we strive to have something in bulk for everyone. Keep checking in as we grow and expand.

Supplements

We hear time and time again that doctors and nutritionists in the community can’t source those hard-to-find vitamins and supplements locally. Mustard Seed carries an extensive selection of nutritional products for everyday and specialized health needs at hard-to-beat prices. We likely have what you're looking for.  And if not, we'd be happy to see if we can special order an item.  Holistic, natural (NO big pharma) and old school remedies are our passion.

Baked Goods

Yes, we have those!  We carry local, homemade baked goods and treats, made with simple ingredients the old fashioned way. You won't find these at the big grocery stores because many come from farms and bakers right in the community!  Yum again! This is a work in progress area, but keep checking in as we continue to look for local bakers and providers that use only the best, natural ingredients.

Home & Personal Care

You’ll be able to find home & kid friendly cleaners and personal care products (without all the harsh chemicals or endocrine disrupting compounds - EDC’s) as well as other innovative and unique kitchen & household products that can help make your life a bit simpler. Yay to that, right!

Vegan/Vegetarian

We know that it can be hard for our vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free friends to find quality products that still taste great. We carry a selection of gluten-free and meat-alternative products, that are delicious to boot!  Ask about our soy-free meat alternative options, too, since soy contains abundant amounts of endocrine disrupting compounds (EDC’s) that can cause adverse health effects.
